Part-Time Re-employment Grant (PTRG)

Get up to $2,500 per senior worker to provide part-time re-employment, flexible work arrangements and structured career planning to senior workers.

What is Part-Time Re-employment Grant (PTRG)?

Did you know?
By MOM regulation, it is currently mandatory for all employers to continue offering employment to senior workers when they hit retirement age (currently 63), until the re-employment age (currently 68).

If your company commits to offering part-time work arrangements for senior workers after they hit retirement age (should they request for it) in addition to the below items, your company can receive $2,500 per senior worker.

  • Adopt Tripartite Standard on Age-Friendly Workplace Practices
  • Adopt Tripartite Standard on Flexible Work Arrangements
  • Offer Flexible Work Arrangements (FWA) & Structured Career Planning (SCP) as part of your formal HR policy
  • Send 1 senior management & 1 HR practitioner to attend a fully funded Structured Career Planning (SCP) workshop conducted by SNEF

What is the funding amount?

Eligible companies can receive $2,500 per senior worker, up to $125,000 per company.

This grant is one-time per company, not one-time per senior worker. That means that if you hire more senior workers after applying for PTRG, you cannot apply again for your new senior workers.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Do my senior workers need to be part-timers to qualify?
They do not have to be part-timers to qualify for PTRG. Senior workers age 60 and above (based on birth year) can be on either full-time or part-time employment to qualify for the programme.
Do I need to convert all senior workers into part-timers as part of PTRG?
That is not required!

As part of the PTRG programme, your company commits to offering part-time work arrangements for senior workers after they hit retirement age, only if they request for it.
